Private Residence
The owner of this 1908 home wanted to modernize the kitchen, the bedroom floor, and third floor living space. They hope to be able to bring back some of the finely crafted wood decor details still existing in the home and then add a little of their own contemporary style throughout. As we progressed with the reviving of this historically elegant home, it became a parent that much more care and detail needed to be spent to the home’s exterior façade. So, with the owner's blessing, we embarked on an entirely new exterior finish of stucco and limestone, new windows within the existing openings to maintain the home's everlasting charm, a new wood shingle roof and finally the existing 1940's 3-car garage had become very unstable through its life, so with a surgical eye, the builder was able to carefully remove the dilapidated existing garage with a newly designed, stronger and more useable garage with an added screen porch and outdoor living/kitchen area on top of it all. Though there were many updates, some traditional and some contemporary, the house's presences lives on and is called home to a beautiful new family.
